Most UAE government processes - court filings, notary public attestations, MOFA legalisation, and certain license applications - require Arabic versions of supporting documents. Legal translation is not the same as ordinary translation: it must be carried out by a translator licensed by the UAE Ministry of Justice, with the original document accompanying the translation. If the contract may go before a UAE court or be notarised, yes. For DIFC, ADGM, or arbitration matters in English, an Arabic translation may not be required. We advise on each case.
