Quick answer

Insight Advisory provides paid legal consultations for individuals and businesses in the UAE who need a structured legal opinion without committing to a long-term retainer. We review the matter, identify the legal issues under UAE law, and give you a clear recommendation in writing or in a meeting.

Who this is for

  • Founders evaluating a contract or commercial decision before signing
  • Individuals who have received a legal notice or demand letter
  • Businesses needing a second legal opinion on a UAE law matter
  • Investors assessing the legal risk of a UAE transaction
  • Anyone needing a structured legal opinion before escalating to litigation or arbitration

What we handle

  • 01Pre-engagement intake to understand the matter and required documents
  • 02Legal analysis of the issue under UAE federal and emirate-level law
  • 03Identification of risks, options, and recommended actions
  • 04Written legal opinion or structured consultation meeting
  • 05Follow-up clarifications and onward referral to litigation or retainer where useful

A short, structured legal consultation often saves a much larger problem later. Whether you are reviewing a contract, evaluating a dispute, weighing a business decision, or responding to a legal notice, we provide focused legal advice grounded in UAE law. You leave with a clear position, the key risks identified, and a recommended next step - without the overhead of opening a full file.

Process

How it works

  1. 01

    Intake

You share the matter and any relevant documents. We confirm scope, fee, and meeting format (in-person, call, or written opinion).

  2. 02

    Review

We review the documents and applicable UAE law before the consultation, so the meeting is spent on advice rather than fact-finding.

  3. 03

    Consultation

We walk through the legal position, risks, and options. You can ask questions until the picture is clear.

  4. 04

    Follow-up

We provide a short written summary of the advice and recommended next steps, and remain available for clarifying questions.

Documents required

  • The contract, notice, agreement, or document in question
  • A short written summary of the matter and your objective
  • Any related correspondence (emails, WhatsApp, prior legal opinions)
  • Passport / Emirates ID copy for client onboarding
  • Trade license copy (for corporate matters)

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Your first 30-minute consultation is completely free and carries no obligation. We use it to understand your matter, confirm whether we can help, and explain what a formal consultation would involve. If you decide to proceed, additional consultations are billed at AED 500 per hour.
A legal consultation is a one-off, scoped engagement to advise on a specific matter. Outsourced legal counsel is an ongoing retainer where we act as your in-house legal team across many matters.
Yes. Information shared with us in a legal consultation is treated as confidential. We can also formalise this with a Non-Disclosure Agreement on request.
Yes. Most of our consultations are conducted online, in English or Arabic, via secure video conference. In-person consultations are available at our Dubai office.
We will tell you at the end of the consultation whether the matter is suited to a one-off engagement, a project fee, or a retainer. There is no obligation to continue.

Watch out

Common mistakes to avoid

  • 01Acting on a contract or notice based on a non-lawyer opinion or online template - UAE law often differs from common-law assumptions.
  • 02Waiting until the matter escalates before seeking advice - early consultation almost always reduces cost.
  • 03Expecting a full legal opinion from a 30-minute call - the free consultation establishes scope and whether you have a matter worth pursuing; a formal opinion requires a paid follow-up.
  • 04Not sharing all the documents - the legal position changes when context is incomplete.
